Insight

Big training days are fun.
Epic work sessions leave you feeling accomplished.
But they’re not what moves the needle- consistency does.

Showing up day in and day out for YEARS and doing the work that needs to be done.
Most days aren’t flashy- they’re just doing the little things over and over again.

It may not be what we want to hear- but there are no shortcuts.
No single workout changes your fitness, no single workday builds a business and no single healthy meal changes your life.
It’s the accumulation of thousands of little decisions and efforts, repeated over and over again.

And this doesn't just apply to elite athletes. One of the most impressive things to me is walking into a gym I haven't been to in a while and seeing the same people training there years later.

The moms at the midmorning CrossFit class- showing up religiously for a decade plus.
The adults who hit the gym before work every morning and have been doing it their entire adult lives. They’re not training for a championship- they just want to live happy, healthy lives.

Consistency wins.
Showing up on repeat.

The easiest way to do this?
Find something you enjoy doing.
Find a crew that holds you accountable.
Have a goal and a plan.
And mostly- keep showing up and enjoy the ride.

Question

What would your life look like a year from now if you just kept showing up?

Quote

“Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.”– Robert Collier

Workout

EVERY 5:00 x 8 ROUNDS
400m Run
20 Russian Kettlebell Swings
10 Burpees
Rest the remainder of the 5:00

Coach’s Notes:

  • Adjust distance/reps if needed in order to ensure you actually get some rest.

  • The goal is to push each round- but not go so crazy in the first few that you don’t have anything left at the end. Keep in mind this is a 40 minute workout- yes, there’s some rest… but not enough to not consider pacing.

  • Stay consistent and enjoy it.
