Relentless IQ → #42 [2026] →DO HARD STUFF.
Relentless IQ is your weekly dose of mental + physical performance.
Insight
Hyrox Boston was this past weekend.
Almost 10,000 people took the start line and did something they KNEW would be hard.
Why would they possibly do that?!
In fact- they paid money to do it… and there was a wait list of MORE people who wanted to pay to suffer.
Obviously there are lots of reasons… but I think deep down, we all know that one of the best ways to get better is to put ourselves in challenging situations, work through them, and come out the other side better for it.
I guarantee almost every single one of those 10,000 people had a moment this weekend when things got hard and they wanted to stop. But they didn’t- they chose to keep moving.
And dude… that fires me up.
People choosing hard.
People choosing to keep moving.
Thousands of people having a shared experience that forces them to level up.
And ultimately, thousands of people leaving the weekend better than they came. Not because of their results, but because of the willingness to do something hard and work through it.
And yes, I totally understand that this is just a silly race…
But it can also represent so much more.
The choice to not be complacent.
To commit to something and do the work needed to be successful.
To take on a challenge without knowing how it’s going to go.
To support the people around you in their quest to better themselves.
To get to the start line, feel the nerves- and go anyway.
To have a moment of pain, doubt, or uncertainty- and take the next step.
To cross the finish line knowing you gave it your all.
And all of those things are worth pursuing- in a race, and in life.
